Meru Shrine

This is a shrine from a South Central Balinese temple. This shrine is in a form called a meru, characterized by its multiple roofs. This is the simplest arrangement with 2 roof levels, the most sacred of these shrines can contain 11 roofs, these meru are only used by the royal families.
